Volunteers are welcomed at Crestview Elementary. In order to be a volunteer, you must submit an application to the School Volunteer Program. This includes electronic registration, background checks and training of volunteers.
There are two different levels of volunteerism.
Level 1 – complete a fingerprint and background check.
This enables you to volunteer as:
- Day chaperones for field trips
- Classroom assistants
- Math and/or Reading tutors
Level 2 – complete a fingerprint and background check
This enables you to volunteer as:
- Certified Volunteers
- Mentors
- Listeners
- Athletic/Physical Education Assistants
- Overnight chaperones
- Math and/or Reading tutors
In order to apply as a volunteer in Miami-Dade County Public Schools, you must:
- Show a current valid government-issued identification with picture
- Complete a background check
- Upon clearance, attend an orientation at the school
